It’s Friday and we’re highlighting this week’s news from around the comics industry. Marvel announced the announcement to end all announcements and arrives with the return of Battle World in Secret Wars By Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic.

Casting news galore from Hollywoodland with the casting of Tye Sheridan from Tree of Life as Scott Summers, Alexandra Shipp from Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel as Storm, and Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones as Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse. Also CBS’s Supergirl has  found its star with Glee actress Melissa Benoist

New toys for all the girls and boys with the recent Age of Ultron and Scooby Doo sets from Lego and Funko.
