Geoff Johns is leaving The Green Lantern

This week we found out in the upcoming May solicitations for Green Lantern #20 that Mr. Green Lantern him self, Geoff Johns, is leaving the book. John has been on Green Lantern for the past 9 years.

“I’m really proud of all the stuff we’ve built with Green Lantern – from Larfleeze to the different corps,” Johns told The Associated Press about his decision. “The universe has expanded and will live well past my run. It was more than just telling another story, but really giving back to the character by expanding and adding to their mythology.”

No news on who will be the head writer of Green Lantern. Johns’s first work on Green Lantern was “Rebirth,” a six-issue miniseries drawn by Ethan Van Sciver in 2004-2005, that brought Hal Jordan back to the DC Universe  Johns’s has also giving us the epic Blackest Night miniseries in 2009.

“It was a very, very hard decision. I absolutely love these characters but I felt like I had a story line that really made sense and felt emotionally satisfying and felt very big and very epic.”

Johns will be focus on the Justice League and its related titles.

“I was getting to an end point and a story line that made sense for me. I felt like it was time to close my run and focus all my energies on the Justice League corner of the DC Universe,” he said.

Justice League of America #1 is coming out this out coming week by Geoff Johns and David Finch

Harrison Ford Returning to ‘Star Wars’

On Friday we found out that in a galaxy far, far away…Harrison Ford will be reprising his role as everyones favorite Corellian smuggler, Han Solo, in the upcoming new Star Wars films.

OldSolo

I hope this its just a cameo. Like I have said  from day one I don’t want  films with an old Mark Hamill,Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher running around in space. Maybe his role will be do introduce Jaina, Jacen and Anakin Solo. We will keep you posted as the details become available to us.

The future of Damian Wayne

BIG POSSIBLE SPOILERS below:

We all know that comic book covers are often just teases to get people to buy the book. Well now a cover for Batman Incorporated #8 has been leaked via twitter. The photo shows three variant covers homaging Grant Morrison’s “Batman: R.I.P.,” with Damian Wayne’s Robin standing in for his father, the Dark Knight. Additionally, the letters “R.I.P.” appear at the bottom, using Robin’s “R” icon.

Now here is something to think about, Damian is not on any of May’s Batman-related issues, even on the cover of “Batman and Robin” #19.Batman Incorporated #8 comes out in two weeks. I guess will just have to wait till  February 27, 2013 to find out the future of Damian Wayne.
