On Wednesday June 9th, Dark Horse Comics will be releasing Predators #1 (of 4). This series is being published in support of the upcoming film; ‘Predators‘, directed by Nimrod Antal. I am excited for the film as it has my favourite actor of all time in it, Adrien Brody. Therefore, in celebration of the film’s release later this year, I know I’m not going to miss out on this 4 issue limited series by Dark Horse.

Predators #1 is written by Mark Andreyko and David Lapham, with artwork by Guileherme Baldi and Gabriel Guzman. Apparantly Robert Rodiguez (one of the main producer on the upcoming ‘Predators‘ film) is said to have had a little input in this series too, my guess is with the story.

The series is described as…

A team of Navy Seals is in the midst of a firefight when it suddenly goes dark. They awake to find themselves in a new and more deadly environment, stalked by a strange enemy. One by one these special-ops officers are killed by an unseen threat, until only one man remains. All alone in a strange world, he must do what he knows best-survive against all odds.

I reckon this could be an exciting series, and the characters on the front covers and in the interiors are drawn as the actors who are staring in the film. This could be worth checking out for fans of the Predator movies, and people are looking for a great intro to the upcoming film.
