Do you enjoy Variant covers? And Deadpool. Then you may want to be come best friends with your comic book shop owner. Since Marvel sent out a press release in regard to a special offer to retailers. In an “effort to provide assistance to comic retailers,” retailers will have the chance to dump extra copies of certain titles to get an ultra rare Siege #3 Deadpool Variant. For every 50-stripped covers of select issues that retailers send, retailers will qualify to receive one FREE Siege #3 Deadpool Variant.  The 50 covers can be any combination from the following list:

  • Adventure Comics #4
  • Booster Gold #26
  • Doom Patrol #4
  • Justice League Of America #39
  • Outsiders #24
  • R.E.B.E.L.S. #10

These comics where part of the Ring promotion that we talk about a few months back. Retailers had to order 25 copies to get the different Lantern rings to give away.Retailers must have their submissions sent to Marvel by February 16, 2010.  The retailer also has to include their store contact information along with their Diamond Account number and e-mail address.  Submissions need to sent to:

Marvel Entertainment, LLC
417 Fifth Avenue, 10th Floor
New York, NY 10016
So how hard will this Siege #3 Deadpool Variant will be to   find my guess is pretty fucking hard to find. Now if you are a retailer do you do this or not?  I am sure these variants go for a lot on Ebay and etc.  The question is for how long?  And are people going to buy it?
I know the shop that I go to Variants are not a big deal but yet some people can’t live with out them. I would love to know what the artwork is going to look like.
Also in other Marvel news Marvel says no second printing for Siege #1. There is a Directors’ Cut on the way with a March 2010 release date scheduled.
