How’s that for a screen shot? I sure hope it was worth ten years of fanboy wait time on your part. So obviously the good news is Marvel vs Capcom is really happening, the bad? Well your gonna have to wait a little bit longer to get your grubby mitts on this piece of delicious comic/video game goodness. As of posting this it looks like the game hits the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in spring 2011.What can you expect from 10 years of wait? Well I am glad you asked! The title will likely feature more than 30 characters to choose...
Sneak Peek: Scott Pilgrim Video Game.
Posted by Simon Daoudi, on March 29th, 2010
The past few weeks have been filled with Scott Pilgrim news. First , we showed you the poster for the upcoming film and last week we got the teaser trailer as well as an announcement of the name of the final part of this comic book saga. Well, now we have some news about the upcoming video game by Ubisoft.
Now I am not a gamer like some people on the site. Sure I have a Xbox 360 but I use it mostly for Netflix. Here is a the run down on the Scott Pilgrim video game.
The game’s art direction and sprite work is being...
Manga Monday…Games into manga = fail?
Posted by Hollie Bennett, on October 5th, 2009
Before I get into another Manga Monday, I just want to say a quick thank you to all the readers who put up with my disappearance over the last month or so. I have now graduated from university and couldn’t have done it without all the fantastic support I have received. So without further delay….
While thinking about this week’s topic I was reminded about how much geek culture crosses over. When someone is a geek in one particular area, it is not uncommon to also find them in another. For example many manga fans are also...
Batman Arkham Asylum Review
Posted by Butner Brimberry, on September 21st, 2009
If you weren’t aware, DC Comics hasn’t ever had a video game that’s been generally well-received by the public or critics. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe came close, but let’s face it, that was more of a matter that the game just wasn’t total crap. Over the years though the Batman franchise has been plagued with sub-par games. Personally, I was a fan of The Rise of Sin Tzu, but I was in the minority on that one. Anyway, the Batman games have never captured what it’s like to actually be the dark...
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is almost here
Posted by Butner Brimberry, on September 12th, 2009
After months and months of waiting, this Tuesday Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will finally be released. If you haven’t been following, the game will roughly follow the events of Marvel’s Civil War storyline.
Details on how this will actually play out as far as gameplay goes hasn’t been touched on as much. In fact, most of the previews and revealings have been on what characters are in the game and how many different costumes each one has. What characters are in the game?
How about: Cable, Juggernaut, Green Goblin,...
Warner Bros acquires ‘Mortal Kombat vs. DC’ license
Posted by Butner Brimberry, on July 3rd, 2009
File this one under: bargain! In the wake of declaring America’s new favorite chapter (chapter 11), Midway has lost it’s baby.
The Mortal Kombat franchise has been bought by Warner Bros., publishers of the upcoming game Batman: Arkham Asylum. How does this relate to comics?
Because now this means that the same people putting out Batman: Arkham Asylum will also be putting out a new Mortal Kombat vs. DC. Get excited, maybe this next one won’t suck.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Wolverine vs. Ryu Trailer
Posted by Butner Brimberry, on July 1st, 2009
My favorite fighting game of all time? Marvel vs. Capcom 2. It has loads of awesome Marvel characters and a perfect 2D fighting system. The game was supposed to be out this past Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade, but instead has been pushed back to the end of July. It’ll be $15 and you can expect to see a review here on Comic Impact as soon as it’s released.
