We’ve seen the adverts for ‘Avengers: Prime’ in the pages of our Marvel comics for a few weeks now, and what do I think of the first issue now that it has finally hit the shelves? Well, it was actually a damn sight better than I thought it would have been! The adverts seemed dull and entirely boring. If they were really trying their very best to enthuse me into reading it with ads such as those, then they left a lot to be desired.
This comic deals with the aftermath of Siege, and focuses on Thor, Steve Rogers...

This week’s Pick Of The Week has a new structure, and one that will continue to run throughout future podcasts! Since this is our 140th episode, we’ve decided to give you our Pick Of The Week comic at the start of the podcast, instead of at the end. It’s a nice change and we think it works well, but let us know what you think, as we record these podcasts for you!
Simon, Sheldon and Rob are the brothers in arms this week, so listen in as they rifle through what the good reads were this week. There is a lot of...

Marvel have released a sneak peek preview at what will probably be their biggest release of the entire year. That’s right, it’s a first look at Avengers #1, set for release Wednesday 19th May this year. Brian Michael Bendis is set to write the series, and as I’m sure you were aware, John Romita Jr is set to illustrate this hopefully ‘epic’ series.
Marvel have been a bit naughty though. Usually when they give us a sneak peek look at an upcoming comic, we get given about 4 or 5 wordless pages of interior...

'Steve Rogers: Super Solider' Cover Art
We broke you the news of the Secret Avengers as they were being revealed, and we even revealed the entire cast of Ed Brubaker’s Secret Avengers just a few days ago. Now, with regards to the advert depicting the entire cast of the Secret Avengers, everyone seemed a bit stumped as to who the blonde haired character was in the foreground, wearing an unfamiliar costume, which slightly resembled something with a Captain America feel.
Well, writer and creator of the Secret Avengers,...

Hey guys and gals did you know that sometimes there is a daylight savings time change in the US and not in the UK? Totally true, and as a result Rob’s schedule got all askew comparatively and he did not join us this week. The good news is, you still get to listen to the rantings of Simon, Sheldon and Dana.
This week, in addition to our general comic discussion we make a couple of announcement about Comic Impact and we get in a pretty heated debate fueled by Sheldon’s war against completists.
Also included Dana rants...

Do you remember when we posted the Deadpool variant for Siege #3? Retailers could get it if they sent back some stripped covers of some Blackest Night tie ins.
Well guess what… This is it! No, it is not my copy, but I was lucky enough to see one at work yesterday. But there is no way in hell I would pay $275 for that variant cover. Yeah, that right, that’s what it is going for it right now on ebay.com. Now the question is how rare is this book, or it is just going to be this year’s equivalent of...

This week there are a lot of theories thrown around and debated with regards to certain comics, so check this out for those. The Pick of the Week this week involves Simon, Sheldon & Rob keeping the tempo up and giving you your weekly comic reviews! Sadly Dana is unable to join us as she is preparing for something HUGE! But let the guys be your guide through what was hot and was not this week. Sheldon has the PICK this week and choses a book that Simon and Rob didn’t see coming!
Not to mention the guys also talk about...
