Pixar Animation Studios has always had a keen eye for finding truly unique and individualistic artistic talents to create visually stunning ways to drive their stories forward. In the highly stylized opening title sequence for their fourth film, Monsters Inc., the notable influence of 1950’s animation began to appear. Of the many talented artists working at the studio, four names are most commonly associated with pushing this distinctive look forward: Lou Romano, Don Shank, Nate Wragg and, last but certainly not least, Scott...

The past few weeks have been filled with Scott Pilgrim news. First , we showed you the poster for the upcoming film and last week we got the teaser trailer as well as an announcement of the name of the final part of this comic book saga. Well, now we have some news about the upcoming video game by Ubisoft.

Do you enjoy fun? Did you buy your copies of Scott Pilgrim? Not yet what the hell is up with that? Well maybe this beautiful trailer will make you go out and enjoy the best thing in comics.
When I first heard about Scott Pilgrim becoming a movie I was not sure about it, but when I saw Mr. Wright (Shawn of the Dead,Spaced) was doing the film I had hope for it. Now, I have been known to be a bit negative about comic book movies but after watching this trailer and crying, no joke, I can honestly say everything I want...

In my quest to bring you a bunch of books that you have probably seen but never bought, I’m recommending to you. Queen & Country. Greg Rucka built a world of espionage that is not quite 24, not quite James Bond with a bit of romance and tons of action thrown in. If you really want to get hooked on characters, and espionage gets you off, this is a book you will need to add to your collection.
Tara Chace is a secret agent for the SIS, one of 6 known as Minders. The Minders are like the super secret Jack Bauer badasses...

Yes ComicImpact readers, I may love Scott Pilgrim more than Iron Man. I know that must be weird reading that from me, but I do, and I am not the only one. As Bryan Lee O’Malley has both been honored with multiple awards including the Harvey, Doug Wright, Joe Shuster, and National Cartoonists...

Now we get our first look at the poster for the upcoming film. I love it, not just because of the great typography they use to form the logo when seeing the opening page of book 1, Scott Pilgrim, Vol. 1: Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life. But I love it because it is a GREAT poster for a film...

Well gang I am back this time with 20% more Snobbery!!!
This week was fairly quiet as we really only got a hand full of comic movie news from the front! Of course Simon told us about the White Out trailer and about Olivia Munn getting a very very small role in the upcoming Iron Man 2 film…but apparently she stated on her Twitter that she will not be playing a reporter….let’s take a minute to ponder that…. You’re welcome.
Moving along with other semi Iron Man news, Joe “Cup O Joe”...

The official movie trailer for Whiteout is now out! The film is based on the Greg Rucka/Steve Lieber thriller with the same name from Oni Press. If you are into thrillers go get your self a copy of this book. So far I’ve read Whiteout Volume 1: The Definitive Edition.
The story is about a lone U.S. deputy marshal (Kate Beckinsale) assigned to Antarctica. She must investigate a murder on the frozen continent within three days, before the arctic winter begins. The woman crosses paths with a U.N. operative (Gabriel Macht),...

Will he give the honors to his DC favorite Tim Drake in Red Robin #1? or maybe it’ll be Uncanny X-Men #511 if his Phoenix hypothesis turns out to be true … or maybe something totally different. We don’t know because it’s only Monday and comics haven’t...
