Mattel have revealed DC Universe Classics Wave 15 on their Facebook page today. The line-up has 7 main figures, and 2 variants (Martian-head Martian Manhunter and Classics JSA Starman). The build-a-figure is Validus from Legion of Super Heroes.
Now, do I care about any of these figures? So far only two, the Martian Manhunter and Raven. It looks like they took notes from some of my Figure Friday reviews about what makes a good female sculpt!
Here is what Mattel has to say about each of their figures.
Golden Pharaoh — Complete...

At first this article was going to be about the DCU Classic series Superman and Brainiac Two-Pack. This is a great figure pack and the DCU Classics series is still my current favorite action figure line and blah, blah, blah. Instead I’d like to write about Mattel’s questionable business practice when it comes to releasing their action figures. Because of their company practice they make it extremely hard to get their product.
Inside Mattel, there is a sub-division called Matty Collector. Through this Matty Collector line...

The guys over at Mattel have a huge man-crush on Jack Kirby and that’s OK with me. The Parademon is the sixth figure in the DCU Classics line from the Fourth World. He joins Mr. Miracle, Big Barda, Orion, Lightray, and the truly outstanding collect and connect figure Kalibak from series six. With Mantis confirmed for series nine and Forager rumored for series 10, Mattel seems committed to completing Jack Kirby’s Fourth World.
Package Description:
Of the many warriors serving Darkseid, Lord and absolute master of the planet...

I sure do love my action figures- one of my favorite parts of writing for this site is being able to do Figure Friday. However, I hate it when mega-stores get exclusive figures, such as the new DC Universe Classics wave 10 that are only at Walmart.
After a long wait, Wave 10 has officially shown up in the Walmart computer system. If you want to get your hands on some here are the ISBN numbers:

One of my favorite DC Comic characters is Batman. I used to watch the 1970’s cartoon (yeah, the one with Bat-Mite!) when I was only a few months old back in the 70’s, before Michael Jackson was walking around touching kids in funny ways. Oh shit was that to soon? Eep. So you want to take a guess at what figure we’re going to take a look at for this week’s Figure Friday ? That’s right- Batman from DC Universe Classics series 1!

What is rapidly becoming my favorite toy line of all time, the DCU Classics collection, has a glaring weakness. They have yet to get Superman right and they’ve had four tries. This time they gave him a mullet. Really, Mattel and DC? That’s how you want your flagship character to be seen? You guys want to depict him with the worst haircut in the history of western civilization? Good call.
Package Description:
When the menace known as Doomsday came to Earth, it fell to Superman to battle him to a standstill…and the death!...

At Comic Impact, we sure do love our action figures. As a big Batman fan myself, I always try to get my hands on a Batman figure from different lines whenever I see a new one. For some time now I’ve been anxiously awaiting the day I would walk into a store and see the Batman The Brave and The Bold figures gleaming on the shelves. I had been seeing these figures online and was in love with the packaging design; and last night, almost like serendipity, check out what Comic Girl and I found at Target!
The guy at Target told...
