As young boy, I was in love with X-Men and the X universe. Then, when Apocalypse showed up, I became a die-hard fan of X-Factor by Louise Simonson (writer) and Walt Simonson (artist). In 1986, they introduced Apocalypse in X-Factor #6.If you can’t tell, I am a big fan of Apocalypse. Then,at the Hasbro panel at San Diego, when I found out that Hasbro was making an Apocalypse figure I jumped for joy. Now, it is time to review this figure.

It is a big week for us X-fan’s as a young lady by the name of Katherine Anne ”Kitty” Pryde is back in the pages of Uncanny X-Men. Long before there was a Jubilee or a Pixie there was Kitty. For a lot of young boys in the 1980’s like myself, Kitty was everyone’s dream woman, along with Slave Leia. So when Hasbro was talking about making Kitty part of the Marvel Universe figures,I was so happy. If you recall when I did my review on Colossus, I told you guys there was going to be a review on...

Hasbro has really impressed us here at Comic Impact with the Marvel 3 1/4 line of figures. When Simon and I first started the site Hasbro had just released wave 1 and we used to see them at the comic shop while we talked about what direction Comic Impact was going to go.In many ways we have grown along side this excellent brand. Today we were lucky enough to talk to both the Brand Manager (Scott George) and the Senior Design Manager (David Vonner) from Hasbro’s Marvel Universe line and this is what they had to say.

When I was younger, there was a book called Excalibur and there was a characters named Brian Braddock. That young man also goes by the name of Captain Britain. A few years back, during the whole Secret Invasion stuff, Paul Cornell, with art by Leonard Kirk, made one of the best story lines around with Captain Britain and MI:13 and I was sad when that book got cancelled.
The series ceased publication with issue #15. We see Captain Britain doing some cameo appearances in other books, but I was afraid this would be the end of him...

Hey, Comic Impact readers and fan of action figures! Welcome to a new Figure Friday! A few weeks back I told you I was going to review the Marvel Universe Ghost Rider. Guess what? Now we’re back with an all new Figure Friday and this week going to take a look at the Marvel Universe Ghost Rider. I will admit I have not read a Ghost Rider comic in a long time. I do enjoy the design of this character. When I think of Ghost Rider I think of the 1990’s, reading his comics and listening to Megadeth or as Ken likes...

The other day my friend calls me out of the blue to ask me if I wanted any Thor action figures based on the upcoming film. I say, “Hell yeah I do!”.I was thinking this would be great for a new Figure Friday and hell, I love action figures,so why not? What she got me was “Thor Sword Spike.”
I remember seeing a Thor figure back at San Diego Comic Con last year. Now, with the film coming out soon, it is time for the people over at Hasbro to show us what they can do with the god of thunder as we take a look...

If you ever listen to our podcast here at ComicImpact you’ll know I always make jokes when Sheldon or Rob talk about Thanos. I’m just not a big fan of the books that he appears in, for me he’s always just been Marvel’s version of DC’s Darkseid. I do recall him in the 1990’s and Infinity Gauntlet, yet when I think of Thanos I think more about one of my favorite stories in comics, The Death of Captain Marvel and Jim Starlin’s artwork in that book. Now Hasbro has made a World War Hulk figure that is now part of their Marvel Universe line, but does he have what it takes to become a great figure? Or is it just big paper weight? When I think of the X-Men I think of the team that we met in back 1975 in Giant -size X-men #1 by Len Wein and Chris Claremont with the great artwork by Dave Cockrum. One of the key members of that team was a young mutant name Piotr Nikolaievitch but for X-Men fans like myself, he will always be Colossus. BIG news out of the Hasbro camp at the 2009 Toy Fair. It seems that the Mighty Muggs lines will be going EXCLUSIVLY to Toys R Us in the fall.
That’s right, EVERY Mighty Muggs line (Transformers, Star Wars, Marvel and GI Joe.) will ONLY be found at Toys R Us. Later in this year be sure to check your local Toys R Us for all the latest Mighty Muggs releases!
This blows since there is a Target next to my house about 5 mins walking.
Will this make them easier to find now?

Yet I never found the Stealth Operations Armor since it was only available as a Wal-Mart Exclusive. I don’t feel like buying one for $30 on line. So I took a few photos to show you what this bad boy looks like.
