Saturday May 1st is Free Comic Book Day, and I’m sure you are asking yourself, “what are you going to be doing on that day?” Well if you live in the Los Angeles area come and join us for a fun filled event!

I’ve made no secret of my opinion about the typical comics being released from BlueWater Comics. They generally cash in on poorly put together comics about celebrities and while I can’t fault them for trying to capitalize on fan purchasing, I wish that their comics were better quality. They have a great opportunity to get people who are not comic fans into shops and introduce them to the medium, but the products they are putting out are more likely to act as a warning that comics are cheesy and filled with bad art. What I Learned at WonderCon: Part 1

This past weekend I got to go to my first ever WonderCon and I thought I’d bring you guys back some news and the like. A couple of general notes before we begin, any panel recaps are not claimed as strict transcripts, most are just the gist of what was said, unless there is something in quotes. Anything in Italics is tangents and commentary by yours truly. Also, panels may contain spoilers. That being said lets begin.

Free Comic Book Day was this past weekend and the Comic Impact Team was at Collector’s Paradise for the event. We have some great stuff to show you with an all-new video podcast!

Blackest Night Update

Do you like or love the Green Lantern books like my self ? Well it looks like in July the monthly Green Lantern series will get a new regular penciler just as Blackest Night begins.
Doug Mahnke is taking over the book Blackest Night will be its own mini-series in July, and so beginning in July Doug Mahnke will be the regular penciler on Green Lantern.
