It’s the week of January 25, 2012. Susan, Simon, and Sheldon get together again to talk comics and be awesome (well, Susan and Simon are). Sheldon gets into a grumpy mood, because he did not have the pick. Susan did! She went with I, Vampire #5 by Joshua Hale Fialkov. Susan likes vampires and strong female characters? Who knew! Simon talks of his love for creator owned books, as he gushes over Elephantmen and Bulletproof Coffin. Sheldon geeked out over the bromance in Secret Avengers, as he is familiar with the concept...

Welcome to the first Did You Catch All That? of 2012! Susan thought she was rid of the boys in the new year, but she was sorely mistaken. Not only are Simon and Sheldon back, but she was joined by Matt Todd of “The Impact” and a very special guest (watch the video to see who it is). The best of the segments is back, including Susan dashing back and forth to bring you her favorite “Girl on Girls”. Simon’s tattoo may or may not make an appearance in Elephantmen 0, but he does talk about it in “On...

As we enter mid-January and 2011 becomes more and more of a memory, I’d like to close out my look at the most notable releases of the past year so that those who may have missed the following can seek them out, or those who have read these be reminded that they are very worthy of a second (or third) read. So, without further ado let’s begin with…

Happy Friday the 13th!!! I’m super excited, because not only is it a Friday AND the 13th, BUT it’s also HORROR on the 13th! Woo hoo! Yay me! Wow, that may have been far too much cheering for the beginning of this article. Let’s start over.

As 2011 comes to a close, I can say with a bit of relief that the amount of quality content being published within the world of comics continues to increase steadily. The interest in recent years in high-end, lavish, oversized archival editions and spiffy comic related art books signifies that people are not just reading comics for their obvious entertainment value, but also seeing the medium more and more as the valid literary and artistic arena it’s been since day one. As such I’ve assembled a list of 2011’s...

Howdy ho ho ho! The holiday season is about end, and we at Comic Impact take this time to reminisce about what occurred over the past year in comics. Susan, Simon, Sheldon, and Rob (I know, right? Rob!) go through the best, worst, mildly disappointing, and overly exciting comics of the past twelve months.
We actually have quite the variety of books on this list, so take a listen to what we all have to say. It’s rather important. Susan promises to stop stalking a certain comic writer, while Sheldon talks in a British accent...
