Aside from a preview of ‘Avengers: Academy’ being released today by Marvel, we’ve also got a special preview from the guys over at DC Comics for once. It’s a big comic, one that will divide Bat-fans. It’s Grant Morrison and Chris Sprouse’s ‘The Return of Bruce Wayne #1′.
This first issue of the long awaited 6 issue limited series appears to see Bruce back in caveman times, as he aims to make his way forward in time to the present day (or something insane, and dare I say ‘awesome’,...

The third and final new Avengers comic have just been previewed by Marvel. ‘Avengers Academy’ follows suit along with its brothers in arms; ‘Avengers‘, and ‘Secret Avengers’ to see the way into a new Heroic Age for mainstream Marvel continuity.
‘Avengers Academy’ is pretty much a revamp of ‘Avengers: Initiative’, re-thought for this new era of continuity. It introduces a few new characters (such as internet sensation, Fortress), whilst sticking with some of the characters...

Marvel have released a sneak peek preview at what will probably be their biggest release of the entire year. That’s right, it’s a first look at Avengers #1, set for release Wednesday 19th May this year. Brian Michael Bendis is set to write the series, and as I’m sure you were aware, John Romita Jr is set to illustrate this hopefully ‘epic’ series.
Marvel have been a bit naughty though. Usually when they give us a sneak peek look at an upcoming comic, we get given about 4 or 5 wordless pages of interior...

It seems like I’m updating you everyday with new snippets of news about Ed Brubaker’s highly anticipated new Avengers series, to be launched in a few months.
In the past 3 or 4 days, we’ve had reveals like you’ve never seen before with regards to this team. Moon Knight and Valkyrie, then Nova and Steve Rogers, and now (just when you thought it was all over,...

Ah, Marvel Zombies. Love it or hate it, it’s undeniably growing in popularity amongst Marvel readers, and the franchise pretty much doubled it’s back catalogue size in 2009 alone. Some people have a real dislike for Robert Kirkman’s early runs on the series he created, but I think with the arrival of Fred Van Lente’s ‘Marvel Zombies 3′ series a while back, a lot of readers felt as if he had rekindled their love for what was, (or in some eyes, ‘what could have been’) a remarkable...

I sure do love my action figures- one of my favorite parts of writing for this site is being able to do Figure Friday. However, I hate it when mega-stores get exclusive figures, such as the new DC Universe Classics wave 10 that are only at Walmart.
After a long wait, Wave 10 has officially shown up in the Walmart computer system. If you want to get your hands on some here are the ISBN numbers:

What an honor it is for us to have this exclusive! Sometimes I just can’t believe the amazing things that come across my desk here at the Comic Impact offices, but here is one shining example of one of those things. Here we have Batman himself completely uncut talking about the real issues he struggles with daily.
This is a side of Bruce Wayne I honestly can’t believe we’re seeing. It’s so real and relatable - we finally see a side of ol’ Bats we can sympathize with.
