A lot of big announcements came out of San Diego Comic Con this past week, and whether you were there or not it will be likely that you’ve heard about some of them. I wasn’t fortunate enough to be there this past week, unlike everyone else on the Comic Impact team, but I was able to watch the news flow in from afar. I tell you what though dear readers, I had a heck of a time catching up on all the announcements and news since I only came back home from France on the last day of Comic Con’. There are some really...

It’s another Thursday, which means another Tea Time Thursday for you readers at Comic Impact. As I promised, I’m still continuing too follow up on my report of the current story about Strontium Dog in the 2000AD comic at the moment.
This week it’s Chaper Four in ‘The Mork Worshipper’ storyline. If you’re not up to speed on what’s been going on in this story, or perhaps am confused as to why I am covering this story, then do check back on the previous few TTT’s I’ve published...

Firstly, a quick welcome back to Tea Time Thursday this week, now forgive my short introduction, as I couldn’t wait one minute to get back into the Strontium Dog story that’s in motion in the 2000AD comiczine at the moment. I had been waiting for Wednesday since this time last week like a little child waiting in anticipation for Christmas Day!
Strontium Dog continues once again in it’s third chapter this week, and things are starting to take shape. Some time travel, some more investigations, it’s getting...

Hello readers! Once again, thanks for checking out Tea Time Thursday this week. Now, I hope you bunch of faithful comic impacters don’t mind, but I’m on a real 2000AD ‘high’ at the moment. Ever since last week’s slot where I covered my first ever issue of 2000AD that I’d read, my head has been buzzing during my day to day life with daydreams of Strontium Dog blasting enemies to pieces, leaving glowing red holes in their inferior alien skulls, and Judge Dredd crushing evil-dooer’s bones...

Do excuse me, while I take a little more of a mainstream twist on this week’s Tea Time Thursday, as I intend to talk to you about something which I may well start reading weekly now. Now do not fret, to those of you who might be a bit worried when I just stated that this is ‘a little more of a mainstream twist’ , to Tea Time Thursday this week, as it is still a purely British comic that I’m talking about here. It’s British published, british created, it’s British through and through as far...

Stuff your pockets with dubloons and head with me out to The Red Seas. A swashbuckling Trade Tuesday take us a-pirating around the Spanish Main and into very dark waters indeed. Originally published in 2000AD The Red Seas is writer Ian Edginton and artist Steve Yeowell’s take on the fantasy pirate story.
The story follows former Royal Navy man Captain Jack Dancer and his crew of lovable reprobates as they plunder the seas off the New World. Of course things go awry as part of their most recent booty includes a page from...

Let me explain what this post has ultimately done. It has now sent Simon into a frenzy trying to figure out how he can buy a PS3 to play the Media Molecules game, Little Big Planet. I (thankfully) already own this! For those of you who are unfamiliar, Little Big Planet is basically a side scrolling game where you play as a sack person to whom you can add different clothes and build your own levels and things on the Playstation 3. It is still one of my favorite games aside from MGS4 and Drake’s Fortune.
Apparently, a deal...

It’s Trade Tuesday and I’m stretching the rules. Why choose one trade when you can choose two? Especially when it’s Judge Dredd!
But seriously, why two? Well I’ll tell you why. These two titles cover the short first and second longer appearances of Dredd’s archenemy, Judge Death. Every hero needs an archenemy. Sure, there can be many enemies but all of them need a main bad guy. Batman has the Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor, Sherlock Holmes has Moriarty and Judge Dredd has Judge Death.
Dredd is the future walking...
