Interview: David Hine

Published on January 23rd, 2012

It is Monday and new comics come out in a few days. You know what book you need to pick up this week? The Bulletproof Coffin: Disinterred #1 from Image comics. David Hine and Shaky Kane are back, even after the fight in the Shaky Kane Unravelled Mockumentary. We got David Hine talking to us about what’s like working for Image comics and the other two major comic companies. We find how other Image creators have made an impact on his life. We also talk about his upcoming story line in The Darkness from Top Cow and his upcoming work on Elephantmen #41.

We talk a bit about the madness that was William S. Burroughs and old time advertisements in Golden Age Comics. We talk about the King himself, Jack Kirby, and the future of comics, both digital and print. So, put on your x-ray glasses and join us for this interview. Then go pick up The Bulletproof Coffin at your local comic shop this week.
