POW: June 15 2011: Gladstone’s School For World Conquerors #2
Sad news, everyone. The great El CuCuy impersonating Louie is gone and Ian has returned to make the POW, Pick Of the Week podcast all boring again. We know, we know, Ian’s a pathetic replacement for Louie. Send your hate mail to Ian@ComicImpact.com.
Ian also has the pick this week and he went with Gladstone’s School For World Conquerors #2 by Mark Andrew Smith and Armand Villavert. He ends up totally stealing the stage because he was the only one to read this particular book, so Ken and Simon have very little to add. What a little prick! Later on, Ken continues to shower the X-Men with love and Simon has a stroke. Also, find out which creator cleverly snuck his opinions on the DC reboot into an Image book this week. Is this quality entertainment or what?!?
Also discussed this week is X-Men #13, Avengers #14 Invincible #80, FlashPoint: Deadman and The Flying Graysons #1, FlashPoint: Wonder Woman and The Furies #1, FlashPoint: Grodd of War #1, X-Men: Prelude to Schism #3, Uncanny X-Men #538 and Invincible Iron Man #505. It’s almost too much show!

Say what you will about the SubWay comic inserts, but if loving a comic that has a fan service panel of Wonder Woman glibly asking the guys on the beach, “Hey guys! Mind if I wrap up that package for you?” is wrong then I don’t want to be right.
