Poll Of The Week: Death of Ultimate Spider-Man

Published on June 22nd, 2011

The end of an era is on your comic shelves this week.  Today marks the release of Ultimate Spider-Man #160 and the death of the Ultimate Marvel Universe’s Peter Parker. Some have speculated that this death, which was announced several months ago, would result in a stereotypical comic book “fake out death,” in which Peter doesn’t really die, but Ultimate Spider-Man writer Brian Michael Bendis (who has consistently written Ultimate Spider-Man since issue #1 in 2000) has said that at the end of Ultimate Spider-Man #160, Peter Parker will in fact die.

We at Comic Impact want to know what you thought of this landmark issue.  Ultimate Spider-Man has been one of the best treatments Spider-Man has received in a long time and has earned much well deserved fan adoration, so we’re expecting some pretty intense emotions, for good or bad.

And for those of you who couldn’t bring yourselves to opening that shiny poly-bag, know that we at Comic Impact will be giving you a full review of Ultimate Spider-Man #160 on next week’s POW, Pick Of the Week Podcast!
