As many of you may or may not know this was my first full Comic Con in 2010. While I saw many things there that realy didn’t affect the world of comics I did see one in particular that blew me away.Obviously I am talking about the Frank Darabont produced AMC show The Walking Dead. I should note that before comic con I had only read issue 1 and was like hmmm ok not bad, but nothing to really pulled me in. Then I saw the footage on the show room floor for comic con and I was blown away! I immediately came home and bought all 5  Image Comics hardcover  of the series (The 6th will be out in October) and fell in love with them. I am originally from Georgia, which is where the comic takes place, so I was grabbed by that immediately. While the series is not in black and white (fear not for I hear Darabont plans on releasing it in black and white/color on the Dvd/Bluray) it certainly maintains the muted colors feel and  gruesomeness of the situation as well as the sort of “Oh my god what will happen next to these poor people” factor. Well with out going any further into it here is the the Comic Con footage I saw..and if you think you have seen the actor who plays Rick before? Well you have he was in Love Actually..What??! I can like sappy romantic comedies with Alan Rickman and Keira Knightley!

Also if you are a fan of music the main song used in this trailer is by Scott Walker & The Walker Brothers and it is called The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore. This song really sets the mood for this and I have to say I think this will really be a big show! So if you are looking to have a fall replacement show for LOST this is the one!The Walking Dead premiers on Halloween night on AMC.
