Do you enjoy fun? Do you enjoy video games? Do you enjoy bands?  Well then I am sure you will enjoy the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. the World film based on the series of graphic novels by Bryan Lee O’Malley and Oni press.

Now we get our first look at the poster for the upcoming film. I love it, not just because of the great typography they use to form the logo when seeing  the opening page of book 1, Scott Pilgrim, Vol. 1: Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life. But I love it because it is a GREAT poster for a film that I have high hopes for. If you go to the film’s official site, you can download this poster and make it your desktop image (guess who already did that). I think it’s a great marketing campaign.

I’m excited about this movie, not only because it is one of my favorite books in the history of comics, but also because Edgar Wright is the director of the film. Trust me, here at ComicImpact we love Mr. Wright. Sheldon and I both are big fans of Spaced and Shaun of the Dead. The film will star Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona V. Flowers), Chris Evans, Brandon Routh and Jason Schwartzman. The film has a release date of  August 13 2010 here in the States.

If you are not sure what I am talking about, GO AND READ SCOTT PILGRIM! And if you are not reading it, then get some help because it is the best thing in comics right now. Because you know who doesnt enjoy fun right? ……. Nazis that’s who.
