Long Beach Comic Expo 2010

The other day Me, and Dana went to the Long Beach Comic Expo. You may remember, in October, we did our 100 episode from there. Well this time around they had a one day event.

So comic book fans, do you remember the days of San Diego Comic Con before the video games, Manga, Hollywood and the rest of the shit that has nothing to do with us die hard comic fans? Yeah remember those days when  you can walk around and see some of your favorite artists? Well the Long Beach Comic Expo was just like that.

We got to see some of our favorite people  in comics. Dana scored a GREAT interview with J.T. Krul that I am editing for you guys (video podcast soon).

I got some great sketches form some local artist here in the Los Angeles area. Check out the great “Pheonix” from Mr.  Todd Nauck.  A “Hip Flask” form Richard Starkings himself, thanks Richard.

Dana also got a very special Tardis from Richard. I love getting sketches and I love finding up and coming artists, such as Tony Fleecs who did this great Nick Fury. Come en Marvel or DC put him on a kids book, you know you want to. Maybe Marvel Adventures, what do you think? I got a the chance to meet and get a quick sketch from comic book great Stan Sakai,  “Usagi Yojimbo” creator.

There where a few cosplayers, no Comic Book con would be complete with out these great people. We had a great time at the Long Beach Comic Con Expo. Which makes me think,  Comic book Fans, you don’t need to go to every big show in the world to have a good time at a Comic event. Try to find something local in your town. Because sometime these are the shows you will remember for the rest of your life.

Now I need to go back to the editing room so we can post the interview that I was talking about.
