Our good friends over at Galaxy of Comics just send us this info. Looks like it will be an amazing week of fun over there. Also, a great introduction to this months  “Store of the Month.”

Galaxy of Comics (http://galaxyofcomics.com) announces its “Second Annual Grand Opening Sale.” An in store party celebrating the first year in business will be held on the 6th, from 7pm – 12am, another way to show appreciation to their customers.

Ending the week will be a signing on February 10th from 2-6 pm with, Wolverine Creator, Len Wein. Wein is currently working on the critically acclaimed show “Human Target.” He is also the creator of such characters as, Swamp Thing, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Nekron, Human Fly and was the editor of Watchmen, which was made into a hit movie in 2009.

The 50% off customer appreciation sale will take place February 3-10. All items in the store are affected by the sale, including, “Hold Bags,” Trade Paperbacks, Hardcovers, figures, statues and back issues. Consignments are not affected by sale.

Galaxy of Comics is an independently owned and run comic Shop in the San Fernando Valley. It was established in February of 2009. The store holds weekly art classes on Wednesday evenings, taught by, former industry professional, Scott Free as well as Magic the Gathering tournaments on Sunday afternoon.  Every second Saturday of the month, the store hosts a singles mixer with Soulgeek (http://soulgeek.com) an online dating service for those looking for “geeks.”
