Figure Friday: Iron Man Inferno Armor

Published on August 7th, 2009

Since I was talking about my love of Iron Man on this weeks Trade Tuesday I told my self , hey I need to post a Figure Friday about a Iron Man figure as it has been sometime since we took a look at some of the Iron Man concept series of figures. This time around we are going to take a look at the Iron Man Inferno Armor from the people over at Hasbro.

Package Description

Most heroes know that when you search for a villain’s hideout, the first place you should look is an inactive volcano. When you deal with the high-tech villains Iron Man does, though, you need to look in still active volcanoes for your nemesis. He built this armor to withstand the phenomenal heat generated by thousands of tons of molten rock and superheated ash, and to do battle in the most dangerous environment on Earth.

Appearance

What the fuck?! Who would go look for a villain in a volcano?! Ok now that I got that out of the way. The color feels very mush like the Iron Man that we know and love with the red and gold color scheme. Also this armor looks a lot like the Mark-3. It also comes with some kind of a backpack with a gun. I don’t recall seeing this armor in comics that I have read and I have read a lot of Iron Man comics in my days.

Poseability

Just like the rest of the Iron Man figures from the concept series this figure has very limiting range of motion In fact, I think all the movie figures have these attributes.

Final Judgment 6/10

Inferno Armor looks great with other Iron Man figures. Since Hasbro is going with the new size next year you may want to get all these figures before it is to late. . I would love this figure more if it did not have the same color as a lot   of the Iron Man Armor I am kind of sick of the red and gold look for every Iron Man toy.
