Our good friends over at Collector’s Paradise are having An awesome DOUBLE SIGNING EVENT this Saturday, 12pm - 3pm with writers  Marc Guggenheim and Mark Sable!

Marc Guggenheim penned some recent issues of Amazing Spider-Man, and is well known to many as co-creator of ELI STONE, an excellent, yet short lived TV Series, as well as a popular writer for many other TV Shows, including “Brothers and Sisters”, “CSI: Miami”, “Law & Order”, “Jack & Bobby”, among many others.  He’s also hard at work writing the screenplay for the big screen adaptation of GREEN LANTERN.

RESURRECTION is Marc’s big creator-owned project for ONI Press.  Described by many as the “Day after War of the Worlds” and “Walking Dead with Aliens”, this is a great story about humanity that has been devastated by an alien race.  Now, the aliens are gone, but the world can never go back to the “normal” ways.  RESURRECTION ran as a 6 issue vol 1 series, plus an Annual.  The whole 7 issue storyline is reprinted in a graphic novel for a cover price of $6.00. That’s right, 6 bucks!! Mark Sable  started his comic book career in 2005, writing Grounded, a story about a teenager trying to survive high school for superheroes where everyone has powers- except him. It is available now as a trade paperback. In 2007, Sable followed up with Fearless, which tells the story of a vigilante who is addicted to an anti-fear drug, which he needs not only to fight crime, but to function as a human being.  Hazed, an original graphic novel, is Sable’s latest work from Image Comics. It is a dark comedy chronicling three young girls’ journey through the world of sororities and eating disorders. In the summer of 2008, Mark’s Cyborg: Rage Against The Machine, based on the popular Teen Titans character, was published and is also available in TPB format.

UNTHINKABLE, published by BOOM! Studios is the new work he will be promoting on Saturday, and is an intriguing look at government conspiracies.  After 9-11, best-selling author Alan Ripley joins a government think tank consisting of the most imaginative minds in diverse fields. Their job? Think of nightmare scenarios and crippling terrorist attacks so the government can safeguard against them. But when members of the think tank start to disappear one by one, can Alan stop the UNTHINKABLE from coming to pass?
