Apparently movie-goers didn’t get the memo about X-Men Origins: Wolverine not exactly living up to the hype.

If you’re wondering what we here at Comic Impact think about the movie, well you’re gonna have to wait for the podcast in just a bit. However, if you’re into numbers and money (and I know you are) then you will be interested to know that Wolverine took in $87 million in the US alone this weekend. Worldwide earnings put the movie somewhere in the $170 million bracket. In case you spend all your time reading comics and don’t know much about box office figures, this is an absolute haul for Marvel and Hollywood.  **But is just shy of what X-Men:3 Last Stand took in. - Simon**
