Published on May 7th, 2009

fbcd-logoFree Comic Book Day was this past weekend and the Comic Impact Team was at Collector’s Paradise for the event. We have some great stuff to show you with an all-new video podcast!

So join us as we talk to Comic Book great Mark Waid about his creator-owned book called Irredeemable from Boom-Studios, where he also works as Editor-in-Chief. In addition Mark talks about his new-found love of Dr. Who, and what it’s like being part of the Amazing Spider-Man creative team over at Marvel.

The Comic Impact team also got a chance to interview Marc Guggenheim about his work over at Oni Press, Resurrection, his work on Amazing Spider-Man, and what it’s like working on the Green Lantern film. Who knows, maybe he will tell you who is going to be playing Hal Jordan and few more things you might not want to miss!

To make it a hat trick we also talk to Jim Mahfood about his work as a muralist, comic book artist, painter, and live art show rocker! Including what it was like working on The Sarah Silverman Program on Comedy Central, as well as doing all the art and ads for the new COLT 45 malt liquor ad campaign.

So if you missed Free Comic Book Day in Los Angeles enjoy these highlights! We will also have interviews with Joe Benitez and Mike Kunkel for you guys later on this month.
