So apparently Robert Kirkman and Brian Micheal Bendis are so happy about the upcoming Marvel MMO they have to hold one another. However they will be holding each other for a while as the MMO is not scheduled to come out until 2012!! So it looks like the DC Universe Online will have some competition from Marvel! Here is hoping they learn from other MMO’s that came before it.

Simon Phillips, who is Marvel’s president of worldwide consumer products had this to say.

It sounds like a long way away, but it’s not. We’ve got to create, together with [game publisher] Gazillion, that environment that is going to be a totally immersive experience and a perpetual storytelling experience as well.

I can’t wait for this myself as I have heard varying things about this project and I am a Marvel fan boy at heart.
