Figure Friday: Harley Quinn DCU Classics Series 2

Published on March 13th, 2009

harleyquinnSo it is Friday and it is time for one of my favorite parts of doing this site. It is time for a new Figure Friday and this week we are going to take a look at Harley Quinn from the DC Universe

Package Description

An Arkham Asylum psychiatrist assigned to treat the Joker, Dr. Harleen Quinzel was instead driven mad by the Clown Prince of Crime and helped him escape. Nearly as insane as The Joker himself, Harley Quinn is a violent and unpredictable felon who will do anything to prove her love and loyalty to the Joker, her beloved.

Appearance
Ok here is one thing I don’t like about this figure her face has a light blue paint job. I don’t recall her having a blue face. Her face is white. She needs to eat this figure is too skinny and is kind of sick a bit like Angelina Jolie in Wanted. You can see her joints.

Poseability
Her head doesn’t look up. Yet it looks down and it is kind scary. Her legs can been a full 60 degrees.  Yet I still feel like if I was going to play with this figure I would break it.  I do love the paint job on it.

The balance is good yet I need to use some super glue to make her gun and hammer stay in her hands.  She does have a lot of great dynamic poses thank the maker because this is what saves this toy from sucking.

Final Judgment: 5/10
Harley Quinn looks great next to some other DC Universe figures or next to some of your favorite Batman figures. I hope that Mattel will  upgrade there female sculpts if they are going to make Catwoman or Poison Ivy. She also comes with the Head and Torso for the build Gorilla Grodd figure that I am thinking of making if I  find the other figures in this line.
