So the other day I had post it a review of the Ozymandias Action Figure from DC Direct. This time I am going to post a review of Rorschach still from series 1 base on the upcoming Watchmen film. Will have full coverage of the rest of series 1 as we will review Nite Owl (Modern) and Silk Spectre (Modern) later on this week.
Package Description
A complex, multi-layerd mystery adventure, WATCHMEN in set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society and the ” Doomsday Clock ” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorshach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity but who is watching – the WATCHMEN?
Articulation
The articulation points suck and such a let down after the Ozymandias figure who had some of the best articulation. The head motion is limited because of his jacket. His legs don’t move same for his torso. Rorschach is harder then an old men popping Viagra. Same for his elbows and knees. His hat does not come off.
I had a very hard time with the balance on this figure when I was taking the photos he does not want to stand up with out falling. Thank god he comes with a stand. He also has a extra hand that comes with his grappling gun. Yet it does not want to stay in his hand.
Poseability
Ha Ha that is a joke right since this figure has no articulation. I think a Mighty Muggs has more articulation. So good luck with those great action poses. He may look ok (After a few shots of Jim Beam)on a shelf next to your books if he is by him self. Since he is not the same size as the other figures in this line. He is a lot shorter then Ozymandias.
It is like taking a Marvel legend from Toy Biz putting it next the ones made by Hasbro.
Final Judgment: 1/10
This is maybe one if not the worst figure I have seeing in my lifetime. This coming from a man who tells his girl friend to look at the toys when she is at Target. I will keep this figure because I have the set of Watchmen figures and I have been waiting to long for a Rorschach figure.
How hard is it to fucked up Rorschach it is not that hard to make a cool figure also where the hell is his journal ?
