Published on February 6th, 2009

niteowlSo like Sheldon told you Watchmen hype is in full effect !!! This week I have ben reviewing some of the Watchmen toys Ozymandias and Rorschach Action Figure from DC Direct. This line has been 50 / 50 with me so far there been one great figure there is one figure if it was not part of Watchmen. I would have put in the trash so where does Nite Owl (Modern) fit in this line ?

Package Description

A complex, multi-layerd mystery adventure, WATCHMEN in set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society and the ” Doomsday Clock ” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorshach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity but who is watching – the WATCHMEN?

Articulation

The articulation points are great for this line it is the same mole they use for the Ozymandias . The head does not look up and but does look down goes from left to right. The range of motion in the arms is great since they can go all the way back and not limited like the Ozymandias but the elbows and knees bend a full 90 degrees. The torso can bend forward very far, but not to back much. For one’s I had no problem with balance with a figure witch is great he also comes with a stand.

Poseability

This figure looks really good in dynamic poses because there is a great gold texture on his suit witch hides all the joints and body looks very fluid and natural. He can pull off the standard action poses and looks like a bad ass doing it. He does look nice on the shelf, you can put him next the other Watchmen figures or some Batman figures.

Final Judgment: 8/10

This is my favorite of the 3 that I have blog about so far he will look great in anyone’s collection The mask sculpt is GREAT and it is my favorite part of this figure.

Next up will have the Silk Spectre (Modern). Will she live up to the hype ?
