Heath Ledger wins a Golden Globe Award

Published on January 11th, 2009

So, looks like Heath Ledger won a Golden Globe award for his performance as The Joker in Batman “The Dark Knight.” Now is he a shoe-in for an Oscar?

I don’t know – I didn’t think he was that great in The Dark Knight. Go ‘head, send me your hate mail – that’s Simon@comicimpact.com. *

But I think people were making a big deal about him because he was a good-looking guy who died before his time, much like they did with James Dean. I love the people that where saying they were fans of his work and yet can only name two films with him in them.

When The Dark Knight was released in theaters people where calling him a god, one of the best actors in the world. I remember the same stuff happened with Brandon Lee when he died. Now does anyone still talk about him?

We will see if anyone will still be talking about Ledger in five years. This is coming from a guy who has a Batman tattoo and has been reading Batman books since he was 6-years-old and watching the TV show when he was only a few months old.
